4.$a_1+a_2+2a_3+4a_4=1000$

$(1+x+x^2+...)(1+x^2+x^4+...)=(1+x)(1+x^2+x^4+...)^2$

$=(1+x)(1+2x^2+3x^4+...)=1+x+2x^2+2x^3+3x^4+3x^5+...$
