Most of its books are from Library Genesis while some of them are uploaded directly to its site by individuals.
Zlib and its affiliates draw from the same library of files as Libgen. It’s essentially just a different front end for the same material. I prefer Zlib’s search, but they also meter downloads.
No one seems to care about downloading books. They’re just simply not monitored in the way other material is. Like movies, sure, you’ll get a note from your ISP. But I have downloaded hundreds of files in the clear without issue.
